Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been a model, actor and animal rights advocate in the United States. The actress is famous for films like Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) and The Getaway (1972). The daughter of a family of artists living in New York she wished to work in the field of arts. When she was assistant to photographers, she turned her attention towards modeling and acting. Her first two movies she received recognition as a winner of her the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Young Actress. MacGraw became a household name following the success of her 1970 film Love Story. She was selected for the Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. Within three years she was named the number one female box-office participant in the entire world. In 1972, the Grauman's Chinese Theater recorded her signature as well as foot prints, hand prints, and footprints in 1972. The actress has appeared in a variety of different films, such as The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among others. Moving Pictures is her autobiography released in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
